There is a plethora of Clint Eastwood movies to choose from, but how do you rank them? Here, we will rank all of the films starring Clint Eastwood in order of their quality, from bad to good. From Unforgiven to The Rookie, there is something for every film lover. You can also learn which films Eastwood should avoid if you're a newcomer to the genre.

Unforgiven

In the early 1920s, a prostitute named Delilah Fitzgerald is disfigured by a pair of cowboys. The brothel workers decide to post a reward for her murder. Sheriff Little Bill Daggett, however, is against vigilantism and disallows it in his town. When two groups of gunfighters come to claim the reward, they clash with the sheriff.

A film based on real events is never a good choice for the masses, but Unforgiven manages to be a highly entertaining and thoughtful drama. Its multiple perspectives on morality are both entertaining and insightful, and the film's witty dialogue and outstanding acting make it an excellent film for any audience. While Eastwood's filmmaking style has become somewhat staid over the years, Unforgiven retains its charm and works very well 25 years after its release.

The story of the film is an interesting one, and it follows the lives of two different men who were reformed outlaws. In Unforgiven, Eastwood plays William Munny, a scoundrel who disfigures a prostitute and a pig farmer who finds his way into a new life. Whether or not it is a great movie depends on how you view it.

While Unforgiven is a great movie to watch, it would not have been the same without Eastwood. Despite the fact that he's played the hardcore killer William Munny, the film would not have been the same without him. Eastwood's performance elevates the story and brings it to life in a way that other actors wouldn't be able to. In fact, Eastwood's casting process started after John Malkovich was approached for the lead role.

The Rookie

The Rookie is Clint Eastwood's cop thriller from 1990. Eastwood plays a violent police detective, and his new partner, Charlie Sheen, is a young rookie. The film also stars Charlie Sheen, Raul Julia, and Tom Skerritt. But does Eastwood's character deliver a good performance? Or is this film just a poorly made cop movie? I think the answer is "no."

The Rookie debuted in the United States on December 7, 1990, earning just under $30 million. Its release date was overshadowed by Home Alone, which opened three weeks earlier and ended up being one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. Critics panned the film as formulaic and uninteresting, and were confused about the casting of Braga and Julia.

The Rookie also lacks emotion, but Eastwood's tough screen persona is more convincing than the film's weak emotional connection. While it may not be Eastwood's best work, The Rookie is a solid crime film and could have easily been the end of the Dirty Harry movie franchise. A few minor changes would have improved the movie's reception, but overall, it's a solid thriller that earned a Pest Picture Academy nomination.

The film has a number of big action sequences, including a car chase. It also features spectacular stunts and one barroom brawl, which are entertaining but lack depth. It's lacking in interesting characters, and Charlie Sheen's poker face is uncharacteristic of the role. It might have been better if a more nervous actor had played the role. The Rookie is a good film, but I'd still recommend renting it.

The Bridges of Madison County

The Bridges of Madison County is a love story told through a twisted romantic triangle. A photographer on assignment to photograph Madison County's historic bridges meets a housewife whose husband and children are away. Their brief affair is portrayed in the film. Soul mates who meet too late. Eastwood is charming and eloquent in this romantic comedy. It is a must see for movie lovers.

A film like The Bridges of Madison County is a fine example of how a director can use the art of storytelling and direction to create an engaging movie. Eastwood's filmmaking style emphasizes the importance of the minutiae over grandness, favoring subtle camerawork and orchestral soundtracks over overly dramatic moments. This approach gives the actors the opportunity to shine. Even the most devoted Eastwood fan will find something to enjoy in The Bridges of Madison County.

The film's love story reveals that life can be beautiful and fulfilling at the same time. Two lovers are brought together for a brief affair. In Madison County, Robert and Francesca are strangers, but they become lovers. Francesca and Robert find each other while on assignment photographing historic bridges. The two begin a passionate affair, but they both know they will have to return to their lives and families. Their brief affair becomes an epic one and ultimately leaves a lasting impression on them both.

The Bridges of Madison County feature covered bridges. The Roseman covered bridge, 107 feet long, features an important scene in the film. It also features the Roseman covered bridge, which is said to be haunted by a county jail escapee. It is not surprising that the Roseman covered bridge is featured prominently in The Bridges of Madison County. It is not just the Roseman covered bridge that has a haunted past.

The Eiger Sanction

The plot of The Eiger Sanction is an old-fashioned action thriller. Former government assassin Jonathan Hemlock, now devoted to collecting paintings and teaching, is induced to return to work by his former employers. To accomplish his mission, he must join a group of explorers on a trip up the deadly mountain, Eiger. As part of the expedition, he must ascertain which climber is a Soviet spy. As a result, he must kill his target while simultaneously scaling the dangerous peak.

The film follows a former assassin and mountain climber who takes on one final job to avenge the death of a former rival. While climbing the mountain, he finds himself betrayed by his former employers, who try to make him work for them. To accomplish the task, he must first determine which climber is a Soviet spy, and then kill the suspect. Then, he must successfully climb the mountain while killing the target.

The Eiger Sanction is based on a 1972 novel by Trevanian. It stars Clint Eastwood as Jonathan Hemlock, a former assassin who is blackmailed into returning to his deadly profession. In Switzerland, he joins a team of mountaineers planning to conquer the Eiger's north face. The film was directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by Robert Daley's Malpaso Company. The film stars George Kennedy and Vonetta McGee.

In the movie, Hemlock agrees to carry out two "sanctions": the first one involves a trip to Montreal, while the second one entails climbing the north face of Eiger. In this episode, Hemlock meets the rest of the climbing party at Hotel Bellevue des Alpes. The German member, Karl Freytag, agrees to lead the party. Unfortunately, the party faces difficult conditions and an unforeseen disaster when a French climber is struck by falling rocks.

Bird

If you are a fan of Clint Eastwood movies, you'll be pleased to know that there are several excellent films that feature this acclaimed actor. From his most well-known films, like The Town and The Patriot, to his lesser-known efforts like Mule, he has acted and produced dozens of movies, and you can easily rank his films from best to worst in our list below.

"White Hunter, Black Heart" is arguably the most personal and reflective of Clint Eastwood's movies. This movie sees Eastwood's growth as a filmmaker in the tradition of John Ford, Howard Hawks, and Sergio Leone. It also showcases Eastwood's unique sense of artistic precision, bringing a new appreciation for the films of these great directors to his movies. While it may not have received the same critical acclaim as other films, it is still a highly regarded work of art, a film that should be seen by fans of Eastwood.

"Bird" is Eastwood's most recent film, and it is a biopic about the saxophonist Charlie "Bird" Parker, a famous jazz legend who passed away at the age of 34. Eastwood's film depicts the joyous connections between Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and the famous jazz virtuoso Chan Berg. In addition to being one of the highest-ranked Clint Eastwood movies, this movie won the Academy Award for best director, and Forest Whitaker earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

"Mystic River," directed by Clint Eastwood, won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2003. Eastwood's role as a lothario in this film has been called hauntingly beautiful. His performance in "Mystic River" was praised by many critics, and his acting has won him two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor in Motion Pictures Drama. "Million Dollar Baby," starring Morgan Freeman and Hilary Swank, is a film that will appeal to film-nerds.
