Secrets of Playboy Release Date and Information

secrets of playboy release date hulu

Among the many things that you need to know if you want to watch Secrets of Playboy on Hulu, there are a few details you should be aware of. The first episode is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 28, 2022 on A&E and will air on Mondays at 9:00 PM ET. After that, you can expect it to air on other networks including Netflix and Hulu.

Docu-series reveals darker side of Hugh Hefner's life

The revealing documentary Playboy, a docu-series about the life of legendary American actor Hugh Hefner, delves into the egregious behavior of the '70s movie star. This series has shed light on Hefner's substance abuse, money laundering, orgies, and other unsavory behavior. One of the main characters of the series, Adrienne Pollack, died of an overdose in 1973; his assistant Bobbie Arnstein committed suicide in 1975; and Hefner's Playmate Dorothy Stratten was murdered by her estranged husband in 1980.

Hefner was infamous for having orgies in public while wearing pajamas. But the reality was far worse. The actress who claimed Hefner raped her was only 19 years old when the orgies took place and lived in his mansion of her own free will. The woman's account of these orgies is highly suspect, as she blames her parents for the abuse, insults real victims, and insults the film industry.

The Docu-series also reveals the hedonistic lifestyle of Hefner, with the allegations coming from a handful of former associates. While Hefner had a reputation for being an extremely amoral and sexually reprehensible charlatan, these accusations are shocking. The accusations are most horrific when coming from single sources, as Hefner was unable to defend himself.

In one episode, Madison Hefner details the conditions she lived in during her seven years with Hefner. During her time with Hefner, Madison describes her mental state. She describes the atmosphere at Playboy Mansion as 'cultish' and 'gaslit'. In another episode, Madison says Hefner "screamed" at her when she cut her hair.

Playboy: A@E's new doc series, "Secrets of Playboy," tells the darker side of Hefner's life. It features interviews with former playboy girlfriends and employees of his legendary "Playboy" empire. The doc series is a microcosm of the Hollywood casting couch. Many of the women featured in the doc series sold their souls to Hefner in return for perks and discounts.
